It has been over three years since I was a member of a camera club so stepping back into it was both daunting and exciting. This year my local club changed things slightly it was now simply Beginners and Advanced members.
Moving up to the advanced group was a little unsettling, mostly because I suffer from imposter syndrome and because i know the caliber of the images I’d be up against.
The year has proven to be a challenge but also extremally rewarding and at the end I placed second overall in the club 10 points behind this years Club Photographer of the Year. Congratulations to everyone that has competed, I’m looking forward to next year and will no doubt see some amazing work from my fellow club members.
